Gac or Cochinchin Gourd sticky rice (yields: 400 grams)

1. Soak rice in water for 12 hours.
a. Drain water out, wash thoroughly.
b. Drain excess water.
c. Add salt and oil.
d. Mix well through rice.
2. Open the cochinchin gourd, remove skins and seeds, and keep inner red gel. Mix with rice.
3. Put rice mixture in steamer.
4. Boil water to steam rice.
a. Water takes 15 minutes to boil.
b. It takes about 30 minutes for the rice to cook through.
- Cochinchin gourd (one small fruit)
- Salt (1 pinch)
- Sticky rice (400 grams)
- Vegetable oil (1 teaspoon)
